Thanks to our generous supporters we’re able to help change lives all over the world.
Many Bible Societies are in countries where there is little or no funding for Bible work and they rely on funds raised in other countries to make it possible.
Last year Bible Society supporters in New Zealand gave more than $2 million towards Bible Society mission overseas.
That’s equivalent to more than 160,000 full Bibles!
With these gifts we helped supply Bibles and Scriptures in various formats, including audio, Braille and children’s editions in countries such as Israel, China, the South Pacific, former Soviet Countries and many more.
We’re also supporting some of the 500 Bible translation projects currently underway throughout the world.
We do this by working with the United Bible Societies (our worldwide Bible Society fellowship) which has 146 member Bible Societies. Of these, 121 Bible Societies (nearly all of them in developing countries) depend on additional support from Bible Societies like ours to sustain even a basic Bible mission.
The Christian community in New Zealand has for many years been very generous in their support for such urgent needs. Thank you – and please continue to partner with us in our worldwide mission!
