During the course of 2010/2011 fifteen houses were built in a partnership with Habitat for Humanity and the New Zealand Housing Foundation (NZHF), as part of the comprehensive Wymondley Rd, Otara development.
The last recipients to receive the keys to their new home were Junior and Heather Veve and their eight excited children.
It really was a great afternoon of celebration as the whole street closed down to allow family members, friends, neighbours and dignitaries from both far and wide to enjoy such a momentous occasion.
Bible Society New Zealand is pleased to support the ongoing work of Habitat for Humanity by providing age appropriate Bibles for every member of the families moving into a new home.
BSNZ Auckland South Regional representative Steve McRobie was at the dedication to present Bibles to the Veve family.
