Haiti’s struggles continue

Immediately news came through of the devastating earthquake in Haiti in January, Bible Societies, including New Zealand, began to plan their response.

Very quickly aid, financial support and appropriate Scripture supplies were headed for Haiti.

“Thank you to all Bible Society supporters for the wonderful help we have received,” emailed Magda Victor, general secretary of the Bible Society in Haiti.

“In the midst of chaos and destruction people are asking for God’s help. They are thirsty for words of comfort and hope and so their need for the Bible is more urgent than ever,” Magda explained.
