Belarus is a country caught up in a mire of backward looking leadership, economic decline and environmental catastrophe in the wake of the Chernobyl disaster. Bible Society is finding that there is a great hunger for the Word, amongst young and the old.
Yelena
Like many young Belarusians, Yelena, a medical student, doesn’t attend church. Bible Society is reaching out to people like her by making Bibles available at places such as universities, museums and exhibitions.
Anna
Belarus citizen and Buchenwald concentration camp survivor, Anna, received a large print Bible from Bible Society, when she attended the anniversary of the camp's liberation on 11 April 2010.
