Pauline says “Thank you”

There is no more poignant reminder of the dangers of doing Bible work in the Bible Lands, than the murder of Rami Ayyad. This month, it is three years since the abduction and execution of Rami, Bible Society’s bookshop Manager in Gaza.

At the time, Rami’s wife, Pauline (pictured on the right), with Rami’s sister, Rana, was pregnant with their third child. It hasn’t been easy for the family over the past three years, but Pauline is grateful to Bible Society New Zealand supporters for their gifts and prayers. The two older boys, aged 5 and 3, are still struggling to come to terms with the loss of their father, so please continue to pray for the family.

We have just received news that the Palestinian Bible Society has issued a high alert security status for some of its staff. Please pray for the safety of Director, Nashat Filmon, and his team.
