Van vital for flood relief

Earlier this year, Bible Society New Zealand supporters gave gifts to purchase a new distribution van for work in Pakistan. Anthony Lamuel, General Secretary of the Pakistan Bible Society, recently gave his heartfelt thanks to New Zealand supporters for the van.

He said that his staff had been overjoyed to receive the van and that it had made a huge difference to Bible Society mission.

Now the van is helping to bring Bibles and other urgently needed relief to flood victims in Pakistan. Working from a base camp in Multan, in central Punjab, Anthony and his team have been distributing New Testaments, children’s Scriptures and food aid reaching out to both Christian and Muslim families who have lost everything in the floods.

Bible Society New Zealand has recently sent $20,000 to support this emergency work.
