On 1 September 2010 pastors and Christians from both the Official Church of Vietnam and House Churches gathered together for the dedication of the Revised Vietnamese Version of the Bible in Ho Chi Minh City.
The new Bible has been eagerly anticipated and some participants travelled from as far as 1,000kms away to attend the event.
One observer noted the “wonderful role” that Bible Society had played in enabling the different churches to work together throughout the revision process.
1,500 copies were distributed at the service and thousands more have been requested by churches.
