Following the January 2010 earthquake, it seemed that things couldn’t get any worse for the people of Haiti. Then in October, rumours of a cholera outbreak were confirmed by the Haitian authorities.
Hundreds have died from the disease and thousands have been hospitalised. Bible Society staff member, Emile Charles, went to Saint-Marc, a town that suffered many deaths early on in the epidemic.
He distributed 500 Creole New Testaments to sufferers in a local hospital to bring them the comfort and hope of God’s Word.
