Ever since Bible Society work in the former Yugoslavia resumed in 1945 it has existed in a legal ‘limbo’ – neither fully within existing legal structures, nor completely outside them. It has survived threats to close it down and harassment of it staff.
But in the new state of Serbia, the Bible Society of Serbia has finally been established as a fully autonomous, legal entity within that country.
We give thanks to God that this long time member of our United Bible Societies fellowship has received this recognition within its own country.
