Mega Voice snapped up in Romania

Following the launch of its Mega Voice audio Scripture unit in February 2010, the Interconfessional Bible Society in Romania has been inundated with so many requests it can hardly keep up.

Audio versions of the Scriptures in both Mega Voice and on DVD have been immensely popular in Romania, where many people have visual disabilities.

The units have been eagerly snapped up by people for whom this type of device is their best means of access to the Scriptures.

People such as eighty year old Mihai Dan, who wrote to Bible Society saying, “I can’t see very well anymore, so listening to the Scriptures is much better.”

Titu Berghean is another struggling with failing eyesight. “Thank you so much!” he wrote. “My wife and I are elderly and our eyes are weakening. We’ve wanted to listen to the Scriptures for a long time, and now we can.”

Iuliana also thanked Bible Society. “This device is very useful for my husband,” she says. “Since he became paralysed in 2005, he has not been able to read. We pray for strength and guidance. This is a wonderful gift for us.”
