She lives in an orphanage in Shanghai, China, which cares for children with special needs. Bible Society recently visited the orphanage to give Scriptures to the children there.
As soon as she received her copy of the Gospel of Matthew in braille, Xiao Daifa opened it and began reading saying, “Jesus is my personal friend.”
At the orphanage children are read Bible stories by their teacher and they also listen to children’s audio Scriptures.
“It was Wu laoshi (teacher) who taught me Bible stories,” says a beaming Daifa. “She tells us about Jesus.” Already Xiao Daifa’s simple faith is shining through. She wants to be a preacher when she grows up.
