Emmanuel’s mother died giving birth to him, and soon afterwards his stepmother persuaded his father to abandon him.
Living all alone in a derelict wooden hut with no running water or electricity, this thirteen year old, from Ghana, draws all of his daily strength from God and the Bible.
Every day, Emmanuel tries to catch fish before going to school, so that he can eat. Any fish he has left over, he sells to pay his school fees.
On the days that he doesn’t catch anything Emmanuel prays that God will provide for him.
“I know that you can put anything before God, because it says so in the Bible,” says Emmanuel.
In developing countries there are many children, just like Emmanuel, who are abandoned, lost and alone. They desperately need the comfort and strength that the Bible brings, in their lives.
Your gift, made today, will help to bring a children’s Bible to a child like Emmanuel in a developing country.
