In Nairobi West Men’s prison, hope is something that may appear to be in fairly short supply. Many of the prisoners have been in here for years. Their days are spent sleeping and sitting around.
But in a shed on one side of a compound church, services are held daily. During the services the voices of about 50 men can be heard singing, in stark contrast to the quiet outside. The men have also begun listening to audio Bibles. They have plenty of time to ponder the Word.
Recently, several of the men testified about how listening to the audio Bibles has impacted their hearts and their lives. It’s clear that, although still in prison, they have been set free and that God is at work in this place.

"I'm an orphan. I had heard about God, but I lived my life without him. Everything changed when I got frostbite and had to have my legs amputated. I'm very grateful that someone put this book into my hands because now I can find out more about God."
