Audio Bibles for migrant workers

Ramdas is from Andhra Pradesh, in India.

For the past three years he has worked for a construction company in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates. His construction company has been hard hit by the recession and he hasn’t been paid for seven months.

Ramdas, holding an audio Bible called a Mega Voice. Its small, compact size makes it easily transportable into neighbouring countries, such as Iraq where there are also many migrant workers.

Unable to either read or write, Ramdas was overjoyed when he received an audio Bible containing the New Testament in his heart language of Lambada

He’s only one of many migrant workers throughout the Gulf States whom Bible Society is reaching out to with audio Bibles. Often lonely and exploited, these workers need the comfort and the hope that the Word of God brings.

Now, Ramdas feels better equipped to cope with life’s challenges and he knows that God is with him no matter what happens.
